Mindfulness has been defined in many ways.

I like the following definition as it captures the importance of being kind to ourselves: "training the mind to return to the present moment over and over again with a sense of non-judgmental curiosity and kindness guided by an intention to reduce harm for ourselves and others" - Lama Rod Owens

Mindfulness and meditation allows us to see our passing thoughts and moods, along with changing body sensations, and know that these are not permanent and will pass. The practices can help us realise that we are dynamic and changing in every moment. As Christina Feldman has said "Just because something has a long history, it is not a life sentence.....transformation is always possible". 

With mindfulness we can start seeing thoughts as just thoughts and practice not getting caught up in them. With mindfulness we can see how we can change our relationship to our thoughts and emotions. Mindfulness can help us respond rather than react. Practising meditation can help us to learn to relax tension internally rather than acting in unhelpful and harmful ways. 

What I offer

Meditation and Mindfulness Classes

I offer 8-week Mindfulness Based Living courses, shorter courses, and one-to-one virtual mindfulness and meditation sessions.

Private lessons

I am available for private one-to-one mindfulness and meditation classes.  

 

Group lessons

Why not get together with a friend or a group of friends - I am happy to provide a bespoke mindfulness or meditation session for your group.

8-week Mindfulness Based Living Course for adults or young adults

I am qualified to provide the 8-Week Mindfulness Based Living Course to both adults and young adults 16 or over.
